Protein Packed Easy Dairy Free Smoothie Bowl

Ever since I moved to Scottsdale I became smoothie bowl obsessed! Living in Chicago my whole life I never really thought to get a smoothie bowl, but once I was in the sunshine at all times they became one of my favorite on the go breakfasts, lunch, and pretty much any time meal! I knew when I moved back to Chicago I’d have to master them!

Whenever I make anything I always want to ensure I’m getting some sort of protein in my meal, so I always include a protein powder in my smoothie bowls! Some of my favs are:

Vegan proteins seem to make the smoothie bowls thickers, so I usually opt for the GOL or Vega. Additionally, I found adding in frozen fruit and some frozen cauliflower does the trick!

Here’s what we will need for this simple smoothie bowl:

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder - I used GOL

  • frozen berries - I used frozen strawberries, blueberries, and cherries

  • splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk usually about 1/2 cup

  • nature’s path hemp granola

  • almond butter - I use Trader Joe’s unsalted

  • fresh strawberries

Instructions:

  • In a blender combine protein powder, frozen fruit, almond milk and blend until creamy

  • pour into your favorite bowl and top with fresh berries, almond butter, and hemp granola - you can add any additional toppings - I personally love dark chocolate, coconut flakes, or chia seeds!
